I first met Sammie when I visited her to carry out her licensing inspection on behalf of the Shepway District Council and found her to be most charming and enthusiastic about her new business – Dogaholics. Her passion and commitment towards her new charges were evident in our conversations. A year later, I found myself in the wonderful position of re-homing a rescue dog, a beautiful lurcher x saluki by the name of Daisy. Unfortunately Daisy had come out of kennels to us and her experience had not been a good one, so when we found our selves in the position of needing to go away and not being able to Daisy with us, we knew there was only one person to turn too – Sammie of Dogaholics.

Daisy has now stayed with Sammie twice and has thoroughly enjoyed her stay, being pampered, loved, walk and fussed 100%. Her tail wags at the mere mention of Sammie’s name – she knows she’s in for a wonderful stay at Dogaholics! I can’t recommend Sammie highly enough. She provides a truly unique, caring, loving, beautifully set luxury 5 star accommodation and most importantly home from home experience for the 4 legged member of your family!

My name is Tina Milton and we have two adorable but cheeky little doggies called Buddy and Peaches (Buddy being nearly two now and Peaches coming up for the grand old age of fourteen) and with my mum now living in Spain, it always made us feel guilty even thinking of going away and leaving them in kennels, so we very rarely went away making me miss my mum terribly.

Having found Sammie via Pippa at Best Behaviour School for Dogs, I invited her over to meet us all and have a cup of tea and within seconds I felt at ease and the dogs loved her too. Sammie then invited us for a cup of tea but I was so happy, I felt there was really no need to visit before our initial trial date which they both passed with flying colours. Now we have found Sammie, we nip over to Spain as much as we can. Thank you Sammie, you’re lovely. I am in the fortunate position of being able to travel quite a lot - but, of course, I have to know that my dog Che - being one of the most important things in my life - was going to be well looked after, and cared for. I really did my homework looking for a home-from-home set up for my boy, whilst I was away. I came across Sammie's website, and from the start I was optimistic that this was going to be the answer. I rang Sammie, and within the hour I was at Sammie's cottage enjoying a lovely cup of coffee in front of the fire with her. I felt an immediate bond and good level of trust with her, and I was thrilled and totally relieved that I had now found the perfect solution with Sammie and her lovely cottage for my dog Che to stay when I was away from home. Not only does Che love staying with Sammie (or Sammie-Che as we now call her) - but she I have also become the very best of friends. What a difference it has made to my frequent trips away. A big big THANKYOU Sammie-Che.

Having come across Sammie’s website via Google I kind of knew I was going to like her, as I felt it had been written from the heart and I loved all the wonderful photographs.

I could't drive at the time so Sammie came and picked me up so that I could see her cottage and meet her other guests. Everyone was adorable and I knew Poppy would be very at home. I can’t tell you how important having Sammie is to both myself and Poppy as I live on my own - so it’s also beneficial for Poppy to be able to spend quality time with other dogs which is a real treat for her. Finding Sammie was like finding Gold-Dust and I now use her services regularly - which has given me a new lease-of-life and allowed me to travel and see old friends once again. Sammie has even helped me with Poppy’s lead walking and we now enjoy nice calm walks along the beach. I cannot recommend the services that Sammie and Dogaholics offer enough. Thank you!
